Ever hear of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse? This is the Fifth, the Horsepug of the Apocalypse. Legend has it (or soon will once people start spreading word of this) that when we're facing the destruction of the earth not long from now, there will be a pug, a mighty, stubborn pug, who will ride through the world with the help of a companion horse (we all know that pugs lack the energy to travel those kinds of distance on their own) spreading peace and justice and equality. It will signal the end of unnecessary suffering and death. The world will take the form of one community - no more countries, no religion, no ownership or profit, no waste, no greed, no divisions by race or name or species or wealth. The world's resources will be shared and redistributed. No more wars. No more hunger. Cancers and other illnesses will take second place to death by old age. A new world order will emerge where life is considered the ultimate good and we are compelled to preserve it rather than to harness and manipulate and consume it. It's a message we humans won't want to hear - too burdensome, too much guilt and personal responsibility, too much skepticism and hardened hearts. That's why our salvation will come in the form of a pug. Nothing else on this earth has the stubbornness to persist beyond our ability to resist. So be prepared - one day a pug might just ride into your life with a very simple message that will change the world forever for the better: choose life, choose veganism. The solution is simpler than we think.Saturday, February 07, 2009
The Legend of Horsepug

;)
I know that you're a fan so I think you'll understand... Have you ever noticed how this ideal world you talk of, (my views are very similar btw, I dream of this ideal world too) is pretty much how it works in "the federation" in star-trek ?
... seriously though, this post is hilarious. I keep reading it cause it makes me laugh so much !!
TOTALLY! Jean-Luc had it right. I think I've seen some faux-meats served via the replicator thingy, but otherwise the federation seems to be anti-speciesist.

They eat "meat" on star trek all the time, but it's replicated meat. They've mentioned a few times about the strange concept of actually eating a REAL animal, they just don't do it. Then there's the klignons (How do you write that?!) , ... another story alltogether .. ;)
