"I just wanted to let you know that poor Marvin passed away on Tuesday Feb 17, 2009. The week before he was diagnosed with pancreatitis. On saturday he came home and we had to give him bits of water every 30 minutes to 1 hour he still did not want to eat. At this point he did not eat for a week. We were so happy cause he seemed to be getting better, he was drinking water on his own and kept it down. We were scheduled to go to Florida on sunday. On sunday afternoon things were looking better he was drinking his water and we were giving him some pedialite since he still did not want to eat. The vet said that as long as he is keeping his fluids down he will be fine, he will start eating when he is hungry. Sunday late afternoon we left for our trip. We left Dave's brother with instructions and kept in touch on a daily basis. On Monday Marvin was slowly eating a bit of food and had a bit more energy. He was jumping off and on the couch having a bit of fun. Tuesday morning around 10am i called to see how he was doing and to see if he needed to go to the vets for a check up. Dave's brother said that he just finished having breakfast and he was doing better. At 10:30 am we got a phone call and Marvin went to his crate to go to sleep and he never woke up. Even though he was only 8 months old we had so much fun with little Marvin. Our heart is broken but he is no longer suffering. The vet said that his organs just shut down. His little body could not handle it anymore. Marvin was the best dog we ever had, he always had a smile on our faces. Every day he was always goofy, he was our little monkey. We just wish that we would have been able to say goodbye. He will be sadly missed."

Our hearts are with you. Two days ago we lost our beloved Bismark (rottie), Moose's older 'brother'. I know how the loss of a dear companion leaves such a void. Your little one's life may have been short, but it was spent richly and with loving people.
