Heidi had a wonderful birthday celebration thanks to her friends. You can tell how happy she is by how wide open her eyes are here. After what seems like forever of seeing those eyes shut painfully tight, we are desperately thankful to see two big, bright, sighted brown eyes looking back at us in this picture. Heidi has achieved the impossible, healing two deeply damaged eyes all on her own without any surgical intervention. We are grateful for the good wishes, prayers, and positive energy that all of you sent our way throughout this ordeal. And we are grateful to Dr. Heather Carver, our veterinarian, for her constant attention, genuine concern, and expertise. This is a woman who had us bring Heidi in every two days or so over the past month - at no charge - just so she could monitor Heidi's progress. She even went out of her way to meet me at her office after hours - again without charging me a cent - so I could pick up another bottle of eyedrops so that Heidi wouldn't run out over the weekend (even though it was my fault for forgetting when I was at the vet's office the day before). We certainly have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for this year.

It really is nice to see Heidi looking better.
What a wonderful vet you have there ! She really went above and beyond. Does she have a website ? Seems like all Kingston people should know how to get to her clinic ! (And she definitely deserves the link!)
No website unfortunately, but it's Verona Animal Hospital (in Verona, obviously).
